...is an attempt to make an analysis of the megacities in China's hinterland. The project originates from a feeling of pure astonishment: What?!? Does this city have 7.8 million inhabitants? But we've never heard of it! In these unknown metropoles the development of China takes place. At first sight these cities all look alike. The Chinapolis Project tries to take a closer look to reveal the differences and developing identities. The results of the project will be published on this blog, but also in articles, presentations and finally lead to a book.
